Hearing Outpatient Clinic at Lucchese Medical Center
Free audiometric examinations, open to all.
A new outpatient clinic with Hearing Center specialists is active inside the Lucchese Medical Center: a space dedicated to hearing prevention, evaluation and wellness for those who experience a decline in hearing ability, tinnitus, difficulty following conversations or want a periodic checkup.
During the visit we conduct history interview, otoscopy and basic audiometric testing, with professional screening report and clear and detailed explanation of the results.If appropriate, we provide referrals for in-depth specialist consultation with the otolaryngologist or for informative prosthetic counseling.
We offer customized pathways with application of the latest generation of hearing aids with free trial.
We also support assessments and documentation required by ASL and INAIL, useful for fitness/monitoring in the workplace (Legislative Decree 81/08) and for protective practices.
Why a hearing checkup?
A periodic checkup helps to intercept any hearing difficulties early, improve quality of life and reduce fatigue in coping with conversations.It is especially recommended:
- to those who are exposed to noise at work (craftsmen, laborers, musicians, etc.) to prevent noise-induced hearing loss and receive advice on individual protection and hearing hygiene;
- to people advancing with age, to maintain active sociability and safety (especially in crowded places and when driving vehicles);
- to reduce the risk of early cognitive decline: keeping the brain stimulated by daily listening supports attention, memory and executive functions, promoting participation and mental well-being.
The free checkup lasts about 20-30 minutes and can be booked by contacting Centro Medico Lucchese directly.
